Contact:  Jen Glockner, Director of Cultural Development, City of Pittsfield, 413-499-9348, [email protected]

[PITTSFIELD, MA] – The City of Pittsfield Office of Cultural Development announces the return of the Pittsfield Paintbox Program with a call for art.  The Paintbox Program celebrates local artists, enlivens the streetscape, and discourages vandalism of utility boxes throughout the downtown.

Four Paintbox designs will be installed in Pittsfield during this round.  Pittsfield’s Cultural Development Director Jen Glockner says, “We’re thrilled to be bringing back this program to offer regional artists a chance to show off their work and help to bring more public art to the streets of Pittsfield.”

Artists can submit between 1-3 designs to be considered. Submissions for Summer 2025 installation will be accepted through June 20, 2025. Participating Paintbox artists may receive $500 total for an artist stipend and supplies.

  • June 20: Deadline for Design Submissions
