Pittsfield is in the heart of the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts and packed with outdoor adventures, just minutes from downtown. Start with the mountains and then move on to the region’s fast-moving rivers or tranquil lakes. Winter and snowfall, of course, bring skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing to Bousquet. But Pittsfield also has lots of action in summer and fall with hiking and amazing foliage viewing from mountain tops. For the less-adventurous among us, a walk or simple bike ride at the Pittsfield State Forest or along the beloved Onota and Pontoosuc lakes is a delight.
