Berkshire Mountain Bakery Pizza Cafe

A must stop for any visit to Pittsfield! Owner, visionary and master baker, Richard Bourdon, has been featured in Michael Pollan’s Netflix show “Cooked” and Berkshire Mountain Bakery has earned national acclaim  as one of the top 10 best bread bakeries in Bon Appetit magazine. Their breads are naturally leavened with their signature sourdough fermentation and hand shaped. This second location in Pittsfield features a large selection of artisanal breads (get there early) plus amazing croissants and baked goods as well as made-to-order pizzas, breakfast and lunch specials all day. Frozen pizza shells are hugely popular so you can easily make your own gourmet pies at home. Currently takeout only. Some outdoor seating in season.
