Pittsfield, Mass – The 15th annual 10×10 Upstreet Arts Festival encourages everyone to get outside and enjoy all there is to love about Pittsfield! Presented by the City of Pittsfield and Barrington Stage Company and in partnership with Mill Town Foundation, the festival features a live array of music, art, theatre, dance, play, outdoor fun, fireworks and more from February 12-22, 2026 in the heart of the Berkshires.
“The 10×10 Upstreet Arts Festival is the perfect opportunity to bundle up, get outside and enjoy all that winter has to offer,” stated Pittsfield Mayor Peter Marchetti. “With more than 50 events over the course of the festival, it truly has something for everyone. You won’t want to miss it.”
Featured events include: the 10×10 New Play Festival at Barrington Stage Company; Hot Plate Brewing Company is hosting its 10×10, with a beer release and special event each day including a quinceañera to celebrate the festival’s 15th anniversary in partnership with Barrington Stage Company. Hancock Shaker Village is bringing back The Big Chill to add to the 10×10 festivities. The Berkshire Art Association’s Real Art Party and the Berkshires Jazz concert both return this year. Berkshire Museum is hosting its Days of Play offsite due to renovations. Other host venues include the Berkshire Athenaeum, Clock Tower Artist Studios, Solarium and Wander. Downtown Pittsfield, Inc is coordinating A Taste of Downtown for the entire month with featured events throughout the 10 days.
The free 10 Minutes of Fireworks are back! It returns to the Common on First Street on Saturday, February 21 at 6pm (dusk). NOTE: The fireworks will be launched from the Common so the viewing area will be in the First Street Parking Lot, across from the Common. No one will be allowed inside the Common when the fireworks are being launched. Berkshire United Way will host 10x the Fun February 21 at the Zion Lutheran Church before the Fireworks.
The Lichtenstein Center for the Arts will feature AbstracTEN showcasing regional abstract artists who contribute to the arts scene in Pittsfield. The exhibit features Joanie Ciolfi, Sarah Horne, Ellie Kreischer, Bruce Laird, Melissa Matsuki Lillie, Mark Mellinger, Shany Porras, Brent Ridge, Jesse Tobin McCauley and JJ Tobin. It runs February 6-27, 2026 with the gallery open Wednesday – Friday 11am -3pm or by appointment. The artists’ reception is on Thursday, February 12 from 5-7pm.
Sanctum Gallery will celebrate its grand opening during the 10×10 on Saturday, February 14 148 North Street. The gallery will be open to the public from 1:00pm to 6:00pm marking the opening of a new community centered art and gathering space devoted to listening, creativity, and connection.
There are plenty of outdoor options. Pittsfield’s Recreation Program is hosting the 3rd annual Winter Festival on Monday, February 16th, from 10am-1pm at Clapp Park. This is a free, family-friendly outdoor event that will include a cardboard sled design contest along with races, a snow sculpture building contest, snowshoeing, carnival-themed games, and more!
Jacob’s Pillow – America’s longest-running international dance festival, located in Becket, MA – will host a free community shout with Reggie Wilson. Community Shouts are joyful, participatory sing-alongs that invite people to connect with their rhythmic voices, bodies, and one another. This takes place on on February 13 at 6:30pm at the Common Room, Zion Lutheran Church, 74 First Street.
