Trace monotype is a fun, direct method of printing that does not require much (if any) specialized equipment. In this workshop we’ll explore several approaches to trace monotype, discuss ink modification, and explore mark making. As much as it is a printing technique, this is also a fantastic exercise in being mindful and present – as it all comes down to pressure and hand. Participants are encouraged to bring their own reference imagery for tracing, a couple copies if possible. Note: the reference image must be initially reversed if you don’t want your final print to come out backwards.
