As part of the 2024 10×10 Festival, the City of Pittsfield Recreation Department along with the Cultural Development Office, and Berkshire Natural Resources Council are offering this free and easy nature walk at The Boulders this winter!

Engage in observation and discovery as you follow interpretive signs along the 1.4-mile Green Trail at BNRC’s Boulders reserve! Each sign will prompt you to look closer and enjoy all that the winter landscape has to offer.  

WHERE/WHEN:

The self-guided Easy Naturalist: Wildlife Sign and Tree Bark walk will be on display from Saturday, February 3 to Monday, March 4 (dawn to dusk) on the Green Trail at The Boulders reserve in Dalton.

DIRECTIONS:

To the trailhead parking area on Gulf Road, Dalton: take routes 8/9 east from the center of Pittsfield. Take a left onto Park Avenue in Dalton, past Craneville School. Take a left onto Gulf Road. Park at the pull-off on the left, opposite the parking for the Appalachian Trail.
