Louis Armstrong was one of the most influential figures in the history of jazz.. Whether it’s “Hello, Dolly”, “Stompin’ at the Savoy”,  or “When the Saints Go Marching in,” everybody has a favorite tune by Satchmo. The New Black Eagles Jazz Band  faithfully recreate Armstrong’s music, performing Louis’ most notable numbers in this cabaret style concert. As the New York Times put it, the Black Eagles are “so far ahead of other traditional bands… there is scarcely any basis for comparison”. Part of Pittsfield’s 10×10 Upstreet Arts Festival, the concert takes place within the beautiful setting of Proprietors Lodge, Pittsfield.  The show starts at 7:30 but arrive early to enjoy dinner, appetizers and drinks before the show.  This is a night you don’t want to miss.
