SUMMARY:Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach JR.
DESCRIPTION:Featuring over 50 Berkshire County and beyond elementary\, middle and high school students. \nBased on Roald Dahl’s most delightfully offbeat—and poignantly quirky—tale\, Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach JR. is a fresh\, “masterpeach” musical adventure bursting with heart\, humor and imagination. When young James escapes his miserable life with his conniving aunts\, a mysterious magic potion transforms an ordinary peach into an enormous vessel for an unforgettable ocean voyage. Along the way\, James befriends a band of singing insect companions and faces sharks\, storms\, hunger and the occasional squabble\, discovering courage\, resilience and the joy of finding his chosen family. \nFeaturing a wickedly tuneful\, high-energy score and a witty\, charming book\, this adventurous musical celebrates friendship and self-discovery through colorful characters and larger-than-life moments. Bursting with imaginative costuming and playful puppetry\, this family-friendly production creates a colorful world where human and insect characters leap off the stage. Directed and choreographed by Kathy Jo Grover with music direction by Erin White\, James and the Giant Peach JR. highlights BTG’s commitment to youth theatre and arts education—an imaginative\, big-hearted journey that’s destined to become a favorite. \nAppropriate for all ages. \nProduction\nbook by Timothy Allen McDonald\nwords and music by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul\nbased on the book James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl \ndirection and choreography by Kathy Jo Grover\nmusic direction by Erin White

SUMMARY:Book Signing: Sanity Made Simple
DESCRIPTION:SANITY MADE SIMPLE: Aphorisms\, Epigrams\, and Other Parsed Phrases \nThe right few words in the proper order can express a “hydrogen bomb” of insight. Among the best examples are those brief expressions that pack wisdom\, humor\, and profundity: maxims\, adages\, proverbs\, aphorisms\, and epigrams. \nCall them what you will. They point to the same thing: powerful sayings delivering a punch\, such as: “Optimism is an 80 year old signing up for swimming lessons.” These short forms deliver truth\, inspiration\, and can comment ironically on a dire situation in a manner that lets you laugh. \nSays author Dan Valenti: “I composed these sayings (240 of them) in Sanity Made Simple for you to enjoy and share\, chuckle or ponder. I’m sure you’ll find value here.” \n  \nAvailable now at Amazon Books and all Barnes & Noble Booksellers.\nJust $14.95 for the paperback … $4.95 for the ebook. \nFrom pre-release reviews: \nOrion: “This is Valenti at his cutting best” … The Berkely Review: “He drills down to the essence in these expert bits of wisdom and observation” …Books in Focus: “A book for our times. You’ll love these gems of thought.”
