Community Shouts are joyful\, participatory sing-alongs that invite people to connect with their rhythmic voices\, bodies\, and one another. Through songs\, rhythms\, and storytelling from Africa and the African Diaspora – including the Caribbean and the American South – participants explore shared traditions and cultural connections. No prior experience is needed\, and everyone is encouraged to participate at their own comfort level. \nReggie Wilson/Fist and Heel Performance Group creates dance and multi-disciplinary performance work\, which often articulates the intricate relationship individuals and communities have to ritual\, their bodies and their cultures.
