DESCRIPTION:Yeah Universe played our taproom as part of a multi-band bill a few months back\, and their sound caught our attention from the opening measures of their first song. As some bands navigate the sometimes-challenging task of overcoming their influences and developing a sound and identity of their own\, Yeah Universe has a certainty of its sound—even if the ambiguity of their lyrics suggest an ambivalence about the world outside of their music. \nWithout hiding behind too much technical wizardry\, their guitar-forward rock has a really solid rhythm section\, and if their latest single “Sweeter” is any indication\, their really starting to gel on all aspects of the band—the groves\, the riffs\, and the sweet-but-disaffected choruses. \nWe’re excited to give them the stage (or at least the space we clear out in front of our logo wall) and let them showcase what they do best with a longer set than the last time they played. \nListen to Yeah Universe
