Exhibition and publication highlights include Picturing Indian Territory\, 1819-1907\, the first art historical survey of the visual culture of the Indian and Oklahoma Territories; Macrocosm/Microcosm: Abstract Expressionism in the American Southwest (2014)\, the first exhibition and publication exploring the influence of mid-century abstraction in this region; and Art Interrupted: Advancing American Art and the Politics of Cultural Diplomacy (2012)\, a reexamination of the influential U.S. State Department exhibition and controversial legacy in American art.  \nMediterranea: American Art from the Graham D. Williford Collection is part of Berkshire Museum’s reopening summer season through the generosity of the Graham D. Williford Foundation.
