DESCRIPTION:Pull on your boots\, grab your coat & hat and join us for The Big Chill on February 14 & 15 from 11am–3pm for a weekend of winter fun. \nActivities include: \n\nWood carving demonstration\nIce House talks (Sunday only)\nMaple tree tapping demonstrations (Saturday only)\nBlacksmithing & woodworking demonstrations\nVillage walks & talks\nFarm Animals\nSimple family crafts in the Discovery Barn\nTrails will be open for snow shoeing (bring your own snowshoes. Weather permitting)\n\nOur friends from the Berkshire Museum will be in the Discovery Barn with a seasonal display. Learn how to identify animal tracks in winter and make a paper lantern in honor of the many festivals of light that are held this time of year. \nIn addition\, we will be recognizing Shaker founder Ann Lee’s birthday (February 29\, 1736) with baking demonstrations in the kitchen of the Brick Dwelling on Saturday. \nGreat Cape Baking Company will be serving a pancake breakfast all day in the Cafe as well offering a variety of fresh baked goods and warm beverages. \nSeveral of the historic buildings will be open to explore as well. So\, shake off the cabin fever and join us for this fun filled weekend in the Village! \nAll event activities are included in general admission. \nAdults $15\, Children 12 & under\, and Members FREE.

DESCRIPTION:Beer: Instruction to Slay Mixed Fermentation Ale with Elderflower \nEvent: Berkshire Concert Choir Performance (4pm) \nInspired by the writings of Zosimos of Panopolis\, the first author to ever write about alchemy\, this mixed fermentation ale features an intoxicating mix of yeast strains along with Brettanomyces\, which adds a bit of tartness without being too overpowering. Joining us to celebrate this beer’s debut will be the Berkshire Concert Choir\, whose participation in our 10×10 celebrations has become an annual event. \nEvery year\, in honor of Pittsfield’s 10×10 Upstreet Arts Festival\, we release 10 small batch beers with 10 corresponding launch parties. This year\, we’ve teamed up with local artist Cara Betti for this year’s design\, and we’ve got a great lineup of special beers and events.
