DESCRIPTION:THEME: Seeing Past the Story \n—What is a zine anyway? Zines are small\, handmade art books filled with poetry\, drawings\, collage\, or whatever you want! We must resist in any way we can\, and art is the best way to flourish and enrich our lives. You don’t need to share art to enjoy it\, but it provides another way to interact with our community. Basic supplies will be provided\, but feel free to bring your own magazines\, markers\, stickers\, or other supplies to make your zine your own! \nWorkshop run by Leo Skoble\, in partnership with the J. S. Bryant School \n—Let’s make some art and help out the community along the way! \nLGBTQIA+ teens + friends & family welcome! RSVP by emailing rsvp@jsbryantschool.org \nSuggested donation is $10 —> give a donation to our other programs and |or buy yourself a treat from WANDER! \n— \nZINES ARE RESISTANCE \nWE PERSIST AND WE RESIST \nThe J.S. Bryant School is the first private\, not-for-profit therapeutic high school dedicated solely to the needs of LGBTQIA+ high school students. They are one of many answers to the question “What does your dream for the future look like?“ Imagine a future in which you were wholly free to be yourself\, everywhere and around everyone. Our art making will begin to conjure that future to the present\, and begin to bring the idea from possibility to reality \nAdmissions are open for the 2025-26 school year. LGBTQIA+ high school students entering 9-12th grade are encouraged to check it out and see if it would be a good fit. You do not need to be interested in attending the school to partake in this event!

SUMMARY:Eagles Band Community Free Concert
DESCRIPTION:The Eagles Community Band’s stage band is bringing a concert to the community on Saturday\, April 5\, at 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church on Fenn Street. The event will feature local musician and trumpeter Jeff Stevens. \nThe band is encouraging young students to attend to help improve their own playing and enjoy a set of music that’s not usually heard around the Berkshires. \nThe Eagles Community Band has performed in the Berkshires and beyond for nearly 90 years. The concert band has about 70 members and all ensembles combined have around 90\, ranging from high school ages to musicians in their 80s. The band was originally sponsored by the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 358 and became a nonprofit organization in 1993.
