DESCRIPTION:Held in Marney’s private art studio at NUarts artists collective.Winter Art Therapy Group with Art Therapist Marney Schorr\n\nDATES\nSeven weeks on Fridays from 10-12 starting JAN 31 – MARCH 14th. (If class is cancelled\, make up dates will be on Sundays from 10-12.)\n\nDESCRIPTION\nThe long winter can make it challenging to deal with emotions and to connect with others especially Berkshire winters. Art making in a therapeutic setting can help lift our spirits and recharge our batteries to help us get through. In this seven-week art therapy group we will talk about protecting our inner peace and managing emotions like depression\, anxiety and anger and how they can affect our thinking. We will also discover ways to make our own joy! Using a wide variety of art materials\, we will play with sand and miniatures\, paint with acrylics and watercolors\, draw with a range of pastels and sculpt with papier mache. No experience is necessary. 5 in person spots and 5 Zoom spots.\n\nFEES\nCourse fee: $250 Option A – full payment in advance. Option B – payment plan – four installments of $65.\nIn addition to the course fee there is a $40 materials deposit (non-refundable). For Zoom participants the materials fee us $25 and you will need to arrange a time to pick up your supplies.
