Pumpernickel Puppets presents ‘Peter Rabbit’
Meet Peter Rabbit in puppet form in the Berkshire Museum’s theater!
Naughty Peter disobeys his mother and sets off to find adventure – and lunch – in Mr. McGregor’s garden, in this modern adaptation of Beatrix Potter’s classic tale, the 1902 book The Tale of Peter Rabbit.
This show from Pumpernickel Puppets is presented with a cast of colorful puppet characters, audience participation, live voices and sound effects, and fast-paced scripts that not only entertain but also stimulate children’s imagination and creativity. A demonstration period will follow, giving the audience some insight into what happens behind the scenes.
For over 40 years Pumpernickel Puppets have captivated audiences of all ages with humorous and colorful adaptations of classic folk and fairy tales. John McDonough and his puppets present over 250 shows a year at schools, libraries, museums and private parties throughout the New England area.
Before or after the show, young visitors and families are welcome to check out the Peter Rabbit-inspired interactives in the visiting exhibition Storyland: A Trip Through Childhood Classics.
