From Melville’s Study – Inspired Writings from Arrowhead’s Melville Fellows

February 18, 2022

Only two college students from Berkshire County were selected by the Berkshire County Historical Society as 2021-2022 Melville Fellows: Aylen Dominguez, Berkshire Community College Honors Scholar Program student, and Shawna Hennessey, Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts student. Working with Writer-in-Residence Emeritus Jana Laiz at Herman Melville’s Arrowhead, the same space where Melville wrote Moby-Dick, the Fellows created new works, which will be read in public by Aylen and Shawna for the first time at this virtual event sponsored by Berkshire Community College.

The Melville Fellows program is sponsored by the Lee Bank Foundation.
