Local author Kevin O’Hara will read from his new book, Ins and Outs of a Locked Ward: My 30 Years as a Psychiatric Nurse, in the Library Auditorium. The book recounts stories from O’Hara’s three decades as a psychiatric nurse at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.

Also the author of A Lucky Irish Lad and Last of the Donkey Pilgrims, O’Hara is the recipient of the John Fitzgerald Kennedy National Award. In addition, O’Hara is a longtime contributing columnist for the Berkshire Eagle, and was Writer-in-Residence at Herman Melville’s farmhouse, Arrowhead, in 2020.
